Age 15, 1951 - Tommy made a whole series of religious movies which took up a large part of his 15th year of acting. Here's a look at how the story lines went in those movies.
Things weren't going so well for Tommy at the start of the story. He couldn't walk, and was confined to a wheel chair. As you can see, wheel chairs have come a long way in the last 60 plus years.
After a long serious talk with the pastor, with everyone watching on with great concern, Tommy tries to take his first step...
...and low a behold it worked and he was walking again! Now how can a face like that not melt your heart. Ahhhhhhh........
AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
Then the next year he took his first ride down the drag strip in his 52 Buick, and drag racing started creeping into his life.
